IMPORTANT: Next week, on
January 29th, instead of regular class, we will have a school-wide
New Year celebration, 2-5 pm, at the Richard Brunelle Performance Theater,
Davis Senior High School, 315 W 14th Street, Davis. Free tickets are eligible for Students and
teachers only; parents and other family friends are highly encouraged to
join us, at the cost of $5 per adult and $1 per kid. Tickets are available to
purchase today or at the gate. The event consists of performance put up by all
NewStar Chinese School classes and some outsider artists and performance groups.
With lively music, dance and other entertainment, we are extending our New Year
celebration to the larger community outside of our Chinese School, and wish
everyone Happiness, Health, and Prosperity in 2017, the Year of Red Chicken!
For Class M1, on
1/29, we will gather at the gate
1:30-1:40 pm and the students will be guided to our group seating area.
Parents’ help and assistance will be highly appreciated. Students dress code: girls: red dress or
school uniform (if you have any and prefer to wear); boys: white shirt on top
and black or dark color pants on the bottom (or school uniform if you prefer).
All boys and girls may wear light make-up and don’t forget to bring a regular (CLEAN) backpack to use as the
prop for our dance!
